Minecraft Fixed "Multiplayer Has Been Disabled" Please Verify Your Microsoft Account Settings.
Side note: I really like the idea of his laptop signing in with Microsoft because Microsoft has done an excellent job on the family management side. I can monitor and control his screen time, as well as many other great features that parents want without any third-party software.
The problem came when he went to play Minecraft multiplayer on one of his friend's servers. Instead of the message shown above, "Multiplayer is disabled" was displayed. "Cause": Please check your Microsoft Account Settings.

Microsoft blocks the "Join multiplayer gaming" permissions when creating a child Microsoft Account. This is a solution
- Browse to Family Safety portal https://account.microsoft.com/family and login with a family organisers (parents) account.- Towards the bottom click "Manage my family's Xbox online settings"
- To the left, select "Privacy&online safety" - Select the account that is unable to play online games - Select "Xbox One/Windows 10 Internet Safety"
- At the bottom of the list of permissions set "Join multiplayer games" to Allow and click Submit
Close and reopen Minecraft. You're done
